Hank E. Panky Farms | Selma, NC Branding Photography Session
Hank E. Panky Farms in Selma, NC needed a photographer to update photos to better represent their brand both online and in their community. As soon as Lisa and I started to discuss photos, I came out to their shop in downtown Selma to visit with them and determine if I was the right fit for their project. I was thrilled to find out that not only would we be taking photos inside their adorable shop, but we would also be documenting their home and farm in Selma!
Since Lisa was already working with a website developer, I met one-on-one with them to gain a better understanding of what was needed. They provided a list of shot ideas, and after thinking through this on my own, I created a timeline and finalized the shot list for the day of the shoot.
The day of the shoot was so exciting! Lisa and Kenny had closed down the shop but invited some of their customers in to capture authentic interaction inside the shop. We took photos in, and in front of, the shop for about an hour before we moved on to the farm. At the farm, I got to watch some of the process of making and stamping the soap in addition to getting a tour of the farm and my favorite part - meeting all the animals! Seeing the full process firsthand made it clear how much care and intention goes into every product they create.
Lisa and Kenny are deeply passionate about their animals and their community, not to mention incredibly down-to-earth and kind. They were a joy to work with!
After the shoot, I took some of the products in order to be able to take product shots with my specific light setup ensuring their products were showcased clearly and consistently for future online sales.
The needs of every brand photography client are different! In general, a full branding photoshoot is going to take between 3-4 hours, although this really depends on the needs of my client.
