Kenco Home Improvement | Wilson, NC Branding Photography Session
“We believe in treating every home like our own, building trust one project at a time.”
Kenco Home Improvement has been serving the Wilson community as a family-owned business since 1987. Recently, Kenny’s three sons have come alongside him to continue the legacy of treating every home like their own and building trust one project at a time.
I was so excited to be part of their website and social media rebrand — helping visually tell the story of a company rooted in craftsmanship, family, and community.
Branding sessions don’t start with a camera, they start with strategy.
I began with a full review of their current website and social platforms, followed by a discovery call to clarify vision and goals. From there, we collaborated to finalize a detailed shot list aligned with their new site layout and marketing needs.
There is a lot of preparation that goes into a branding shoot. You don’t walk in and hope for the best, you plan intentionally so every image has purpose.
On shoot day, we captured:
Team photos and customer interaction in their showroom
Project highlights at recently completed homes
Active job sites to showcase craftsmanship in action
A stop at Whirligig Park to root the brand firmly in the local community
I loved getting a tour of Wilson and seeing the revitalization happening downtown, including the excitement around the new Wilson Warbirds baseball stadium opening soon. It’s always meaningful when a brand is deeply woven into the life of its city.
(And they even sent me home with some Kenco merch so I can represent over here in Johnston County!)
Can I tell you my favorite part of this entire shoot?
Seeing the images being used.
Watching their new photos come to life on their website, blog, and social media is the greatest reward. Branding photography should not just look beautiful, it should be usable. Strategic. Purpose-driven.
My goal in every branding session is simple:
To create images that clearly communicate your mission, reflect your values, and help you connect with your community and future clients. That’s what brings me the most joy.
